There is a linguistic link between Revelation 8:11 and the city of #Chernobyl because the English word "wormwood" is associated with both plants, called mugwort/wormwood (Чорнобиль/Полин). Both plants are in the same genus and both are intensely bitter.

They named the city after the bitter plant BEFORE the nuclear disaster. But the prophecy from the book of Revelation was given almost two thousand years before the nuclear power plant.
