Suffering Is A Teacher - Love Is The Lesson

Life here in this world is short. The physical body does not last long for any man. And everyone suffers, but not in the same ways or to the same extent.

This life is only a trial life. It is the next life, in the kingdom of spirits, that lasts for ever.

No one gets into heaven without being formed into a god-like being, as Jesus showed by his example as a man on Earth. Sin is not allowed into heaven. Those who sin would not want heaven, but would rather choose hell.

There is no verse in the Bible that says God made hell, where there is suffering so much worse than ever experienced on Earth. So, who is responsible for making hell? Jesus died and went there, and then rose again, having the keys of hell and of death. That means, He can open the doors and release the captives, but most refuse to follow Him.

So, why suffering? The short answer:

Suffering is a teacher, helping us to mature spiritually. Pain should teach us to hate sin and to love righteousness.

If God did not allow suffering, He would not be a perfect and loving God. It is because of His love for us that He allows trials and tribulations to come, so that we learn to be more like Jesus, so that we may be blessed for eternity in heaven.

The trials purify man, like fire purifies silver. Gold is tried to prove its purity. Two metals.... one burns in fire, the other is tried.

Likewise there are two ways to reach heaven: suffering is one.

Suffering is only allowed by God if necessary to remove impurities. There is a better way: love.

If a man has genuine love in his heart, for God and for his neighbor, then the suffering is no longer needed. But he shall be tried, as gold, to prove he has a heart like Jesus.

Jesus showed both ways to heaven, because He is The Only Way: suffering and love, each to the extreme case. He suffered more than any and He loved more than all.

The more you practice love, the less suffering you shall need to be formed into the likeness of Jesus. Those who refuse His instruction do not belong to Him. He is the Lord of heaven and earth, but not of hell, which is the domain of His adversary. Those who learn from suffering, and practice love, are on their way to heaven, where there is no more pain.
